Abrasion Resistance

This die assembly shop floor must be dust free and easily cleaned. Conventional flooring materials, floor coatings and sealers and other concrete coatings will not withstand re-positioning 5-8 ton dies. Heavy Traffic

Eleven years of heavy traffic ruined this concrete floor (foreground). Conventional concrete coatings and floor sealers will not withstand dragging palletized loads. In phases, after preparation and floor repairs a new TECHCOAT reinforced epoxy flooring was installed (background). This industrial flooring material cures to 13,000 psi compressive strength, over 3 times greater than concrete, with fast overnight cure.

Surface Abrasion

Conventional concrete coatings and floor sealers may be severely damaged by surface abrasion. This epoxy flooring is ¼ inch thick, trowel applied, and sealed with a weak epoxy coating that contains excessive filler to reduce cost. TECHCOAT industrial flooring is thinner, but contains more epoxy resin than old technology mortar systems. Our flooring materials are resin-rich for uniform high density top to bottom.
