Safety Flooring
As a Specialty Flooring Contractor, we always recommend non-slip safety finishes for our industrial flooring.
We utilize specific amounts of hard and angular graded aggregates incorporated into our epoxy coatings and urethane
coatings to provide a non-slip safety finish, especially in wet process areas such as chemical resistant flooring
installations and food processing facilities. We incorporate this technology in our protective coatings and floor
sealers and recommend safety finishes be utilized for all cement and concrete flooring and protective coatings,
especially for exterior decking.
Non-Slip Flooring
Non-slip safety flooring finishes can range from a very slight profile in normally dry service areas to
aggressive profiles for inclined ramps and docks, exterior surfaces and wet process areas. With
polyurethane coatings it is important to consider flooring safety because urethane finishes can be especially
slippery when wet. Working with our clients, we incorporate a non-slip safety finish that meets specific
project requirements with any of our epoxy coatings and flooring, polyurethane and decorative coating and
flooring systems as well as other protective coatings and floor coating services. Safety flooring finishes
can be designed so that they do not interfere with optimum cleanability and light reflectivity.
